Our Beginner level course will teach you the basics of working with glass. You will be supplied with everything you need to begin working with the "Tiffany" style, using copper foil. This level is designed to teach you cutting basics, and you will finish with 4-5 pieces to take home.
Refresher class, is usually just a single 4 hour lesson, and will reaquaint you with the basics, tools, and safety.
As a beginner, you will quickly become a busy bee! All tools and supplies are on hand, and set up in stations, so you can logically move from one stage to the next. Beginning with a project of 3-5 pieces, you will practice the necessary cuts before being asked to choose your project, and glass (yes, we will help you). Next, you will mark your pattern on the glass, cut, grind, fit together, and foil the project.
We've found that 4 hours goes quickly, and most students find they are quite tired by the end of this time frame. Remember, you will be using muscles that you don't normally use in your daily routine.
We encourage you to Google search for Free Beginner Stained Glass patterns that may interest you, but it is not necessary, as we have dozens of patterns on hand in the shop. You are not limited to begin with 3-5 pieces for a project, some students are crafty enough that they jump right into patterns with more pieces. Doing so will simply take a class or two to complete this one project.

CLOTHING: Please ensure you are wearing comfortable closed toe shoes, and long pants. Glass fragments manage to get into the oddest of places, and we guarantee you do not want any in your foot. Long pants protect you from glass, solder and chemicals. We do not advise extremely loose clothing, but please be comfortable.
Students MUST be a minimum of 18 years old.
